Learning to clone objects helps as you add more objects to the current scene. Cloned objects are easily placed relative and inline with the original. SketchUp offers several ways to clone objects including the common Cut, Copy, and Paste commands along with holding down the Ctrl key while dragging with the Move/Copy and Rotate tools. Using multipliers, you can create linear and radial arrays of objects by typing a multiplier in the Measurements Toolbar. Objects can also be distributed using a divisor value.

This chapter covered the following topics:

  • Using the Cut, Copy, and Paste commands
  • Cloning objects with the transform tools
  • Creating linear and radial arrays of objects

Now that you’ve figured out how to create multiple objects, the next chapter covers how to orga- nize these objects using the Group, Hide, and Lock options.
